To help our GPs meet the new contractual requirements from October 2014, specified by NHS England for a Friends and Family Test (NHSFFT) at all General Practices, MJog have developed an app which allows Patients to provide feedback in a quick and simple way, which will require minimal administration by Practice staff.
The new app gathers the required Patient FFT feedback digitally, on a low cost tablet device, which can then be used to record and measure just how successful clinics have been at meeting Patient needs, providing valuable information for improving Patient services. It is a simple and straightforward way for surgeries and health centres to establish and develop their levels of patient experience and the levels of care given to patients. The app has been carefully designed to allow feedback to be submitted from as wide a range of patients as possible, whatever their age, which follows the guidance from NHS England. From December 2014 the Friends and Family test will be available in all GP Practices, ahead of a wider roll out to mental health and community services in early 2015.
MJog offers two interactive solutions for the Friends and Family Test. The MJog Premium service allows Friends and Family messages to be delivered after an appointment (via SMS, voice or email), while the MJog Friends and Family ‘app’ ensures patients can select their answer after a Practice visit. Both use MJog’s Practice based platform to automatically collate results, which is then immediately available in a modern graphical presentation which assists Practice management to quickly evaluate Patient responses. Data from both methods can also be exported in a format ready for monthly reporting to NHS England.
The MJog Friends and Family app is able to run on both iOS and Android devices, with a simple iconic user interface, making it very accessible to all. For patients who are opted out of the MJog messaging service, they are still able to be asked the FFT question by using the in-Practice app , thereby ensuring maximum coverage of the local Patient population, to determine levels of patient experience at all Practices types and locations.
