MJog Ltd has been awarded ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management Certification. The new standard was achieved following a complete review and audit of all information and data security processes.
“This accreditation represents months of hard work. It’s a long and very thorough process – requiring that every stage of every process we have is scrutinised to ensure that Information is managed securely and that our ISMS is rigorously applied.” said Technical Director Mark Howells.
“With over 1,300 NHS and Private Healthcare organisations trusting MJog with their communications data, the ISO 27001:2013 accreditation allows us to provide unique security in the healthcare messaging market to meet increasing demands for a paperless NHS and the increasing expectation of our customers. With this accreditation the opportunities significantly increase with new potential customers and new markets requiring digital communications for their customers.”
MJog provides digital messaging services through SMS, voice, email, print and post, together with a secure online portal for its customers who are spread across the NHS in Primary and Secondary Care. “We have been delivering healthcare messages for many years for our valued and quality customer base,” said Howells. “MJog has 100% IGSoC rating, has had it’s own N3 connection soon after entering the NHS market in 2007, and has been Data Protection registered for over 10 years. Our ISO certification further strengthens our processes and gives us and our customers confidence as we continue to expand our range of messaging services.” In addition, MJog has recently joined the list of suppliers (Lot 2) on the GPSoC framework of suppliers for additional GP IT services.
ISO 27001:2013 puts greater emphasis on measuring and evaluating how well an organisation’s Information Security Management System is performing. There is a new section on outsourcing, which reflects the fact that many organisations rely on third parties to provide some aspects of IT. More attention is also paid to the organisational context of information security and the risks associated.
As a leading supplier of digital messaging services, MJog works closely with large healthcare providers to exploit the unique benefits which modern interactive communication systems can deliver, through unique levels of engagement with 100% of the patient population.
“With the fast paced changes taking place in the market, we’ve got ambitions to keep pushing forward. Our customers love the ease of use of our software and the savings and efficiencies it brings to them.” said Howells.
